Bringing One for the Chipper

Bring One for the Chipper is Keep Riverdale Beautiful’s annual Christmas tree recycling event. Rather than ending up in a landfill, the thousands of trees taken at this event are chipped into mulch from the trees available to businesses, schools, and residents free of charge.

Tree seedlings are available to participants while supplies last. This event is open to everyone and free of charge. If you would like to support this event and others like it, you can contact Ms. Howard at nhoward@riverdalega.gov

Bringing Your Tree

Bring One for the Chipper is for live trees only. 

Not accepted at the event:

  • Artificial trees
  • Trees with lights or ornaments
  • Flocked trees
  • Garland or wreaths (the wire make them ineligible for chipping)

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering for this fun event, please fill out our online volunteer form found on our home page. Volunteers help unload trees, direct traffic, give out seed packs, information, etc.
